This is your year, the year that you have been waiting for, for several years and the year that you have put in the hard work to prepare for. Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion and your ruling planet returned to Sagittarius in November and not due to leave until 3rd December, will spend the majority of the year here.
On one hand, you could say that this is your luckiest year in over a decade, but it is so much more than that. This brings you to the start of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion, with a chance to open major new doors, begin new journeys and lay the foundations for the things that will be important in your life over the course of the next 12 years. It was just over a year ago that Saturn left Sagittarius, in December 2017.
This brought a three year boot camp to a close, with life calling on you to show up, take responsibility and deal with any challenges head on. It was always a given that you would benefit from those years, at some future date.
That future date has arrived. From the get go there is a feeling of support, with Mars returning to a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart on New Year’s Day and into a friendly alliance with Jupiter during the first six weeks of 2019. You have Venus, the planet of love returning to Sagittarius on 8th January and an adventurous, total lunar eclipse on 21st January. This will unleash a potent cocktail of passionate, adventurous and playful forces, encouraging you to fully embrace this year that you have been waiting for and working towards for years now, from the get go.
This is also an important and powerful year on the job and income fronts, with a solar eclipse in your income sector on 6th January a taste of things to come. To start with you don’t have the professional backing to take this too far, but that will change from February onwards.
It begins with Mars’ return to your work sector on 14th February and will continue with Uranus’ return on 6th March. Uranus is here then until 2026, supporting the planets already in your income sector and there to support Jupiter when he returns on 3rd December.
This will kick of your most potentially lucrative year in over a decade. In the meantime, 2019 is the year that will have you excited from the get go and while life will go on, this year has your name written all over it from the get go.
Matters of the heart were always going to get your attention from the get go, while your relationships were always going to have to wait their turn. This is due to the fact that with no major planets in your relationship sector, you need to wait for the faster moving planets to return each year.
On the romantic front, however, apart from a six month break from May to November 2018, you have had Uranus in your romantic sector since 2010. This means no matter what, from the get go there was going to be romantic energy in play this year. However, what is not expected is the level of romantic activity that is set to literally explode onto the scene in the early hours of the year.
You begin the year with Uranus still in retrograde motion in your romantic sector, so this should be a slow start to the year for matters of the heart. With Venus, the planet of love in Sagittarius from 8th January to 4th February, it is hard to imagine a more romantically charged start to the year.
However, everything changes in the early hours of the year, due to Mars’ return to your romantic sector on New Year’s Day. Mars literally explodes onto the scene, returning to the area of your chart he rules and where he knows exactly how to fuel your romantic passions and fighting spirit.
With Mars here until 15th February and Uranus leaving on 6th March, not to return for another eight decades, the love gods are hauling out their big guns from the get go. Things may quieten down after Mars and Uranus leave, only to fire up again with the Sun’s return on 21st March. This will shine the solar spotlight on matters of the heart and all that Mars and Uranus have already created.
With Mercury returning on 17th April and Venus on 21st April, they will be there to keep the romantic flame burning. The planet that will really capitalise on the passionate start the year gets off to is Venus, with the planet of love’s time here from 21st April to 15th May, some of the most romantically charged weeks of the year.
Your relationships will get their turn and will get a boost from having Mars make his first visit since 2017. Mars will return to your relationship sector on 31st March, just 10 days after the Sun’s return to your romantic sector and while matters of the heart are catching their second wind.
This is something that your relationships will benefit from. With Mars here from 31st March to 16th May, he’ll have been and gone by the time the Sun returns on 21st May.
Yet it means that as the solar spotlight shifts onto your relationships, Mars will have already just spent six weeks firing up your passions and fighting spirit. The Sun will leave on 22nd June, but with Venus not returning until 9th June, she will keep the focus on your relationships until leaving on 4th July.
The year gets off to a fairly quiet start professionally and that is just the way you want it. You begin the year with no planetary activity on the career front and only a token amount of planetary activity on the job front. Just enough to keep you engaged, but not enough to force you to keep your work hat on 24/7.
This suggests you are facing a fairly typical professional year, which means a lot of focus on work and job matters in April and May and then a lot of focus on career matters in August and September, but nothing in between. Instead, the professional gods will call on you to get your work hat on in earnest from 15th February and then keep it on until 2026. This makes it important to make the most of the relative quiet to start with.
Things are set to become very busy, very quickly thanks to Mars’ return to your work sector on 15th February. With the Sun not returning until 20th April each year, this will see things kick off two months earlier than they normally would.
While Mars will leave on 31st March, before the Sun returns, Uranus’ return on 6th March will see the planet of surprise, synchronicity and the unexpected, return to pick up from where he left off from last year. Uranus returned last May, but three months later turned retrograde and then after just six months here, retrograded back out again. This time Uranus is here to stay, beginning a journey towards finding your sense of purpose and your true path forward on the job front, that won’t end until 2026.
Things won’t be busy throughout that time, but while Mars is here they will be. They are likely to be busy again from 20th April to 31st May. This is just a short period, but as the Sun, Mercury and Venus move through they will try and pack a lot in.
Knowing that Uranus will stay on to continue what they start, their focus will be on opening as many new doors and getting as many balls in the air as possible. The middle months of the year offer some respite, with a chance for work and job matters to step back and career matters to move forward, in August.
Uranus will turn retrograde on 12th August, just eight days before Mars returns to your career sector. This kicks off a busy push on the career front that will run from 18th August to 4th October. It begins with Mars’ return and ends with his departure, but during that time the Sun, Mercury and Venus will all move through. As the only planetary activity on the career front this year, there will be a push to pack in and accomplish as much as possible during that time.
For 10 years now the money gods have put the balance of power onto income matters and while that is still the case this year, with the lunar nodes in your two money houses there is a better opportunity for balance. With Pluto in your income sector since 2008 and Saturn since December 2017, this has created a powerful undercurrent that is active all year.
This has meant that while there will be periods in any year when there is a focus on your financial situation and money matters as a whole, the focus has been on income matters 365 days of every year. However, both Saturn and Pluto spend months in retrograde motion each year and for the most part, are working behind the scenes. It was the lunar nodes return to your two money houses in November, that has the North Node in your financial sector and the South Node in your income sector until May 2020.
While the balance of power is still on income matters in terms of planetary activity, the North Node is a powerful, positive and dominant force in its own right, making it easier to maintain a balance between money coming in and money going out.
Having the lunar nodes here also adds something extra to the most active points of the year on both the income and financial fronts, with eclipses, in particular, acting as major catalysts. You won’t have to wait long to experience this, with a solar eclipse in your income sector on 6th January. With the Sun and Mercury in your income sector at the time, this will give income matters a boost in the early days of the year.
The early months of each year are always the most potentially lucrative and while the Sun and Mercury will both be gone by the end of January, Venus will move through from 4th February to 2nd March.
With Mars returning to fire things up on the job front from 15th February, these could be some of the most lucrative weeks of the year. However, Venus will return to do it all again from 26th November to 20th December, here when lucky Jupiter returns on the 3rd December.
Meanwhile, while the most active months of any year for money matters are always the middle months, a total solar eclipse on 3rd July will be the crown in that period. With Mars here from 16th May to 2nd July and Venus from 4th July to 28th July, this is the epicentre of some of the best weeks of this year for money matters.
Mars will spend six weeks fuelling your financial passions and fighting spirit in the lead up to this solar eclipse and Venus, the planet of money will spend weeks after the fact, capitalising anything this triggers. Things change again with lucky Jupiter’s return to your income sector on 3rd December, kicking off your most auspicious and potentially lucrative income year in over a decade.
